Digital Detox and Well Being

The universe lives and continues to exist on the screen. In reality, devices, the web, and social media are our lives. Think of a day without that. Seems hard, right? But, believe me, it’s not that hard.

Fly without any constraints from the world!
Digital Freedom

After a week of bashing my head with my phones and the internet, I came to this conclusion. Since using the devices for too long a week, I had a serious headache and discomfort. It has become a bad job for us to look at individuals with their lives and equate the same with ours. It made me fed up with keeping my day long with the devices on, and I desperately needed a break from all of them. So, I decided to keep the weekend away from my device and give myself a complete digital detox.

P.S: This article was written on a weekday:).

So going straight to what I did for this weekend of digital detox was:

I started my day without the phone alarm waking me up, instead I followed my natural alarm (generated from my body).

I just opened my door to welcome the fresh air and inhale all the positivity around. For a while, I tried to keep my mind blank and continued to picture a white blank paper (blank for emptiness and white for peace of mind).

I wrap up my everyday routine quickly with a delicious breakfast and a hot coffee.

I picked out my notepad and pen after getting my breakfast and jot down what I missed last week, and guess what, I had a saga for it. Hey, Whoah!!! So much to accomplish.

So the first thing I picked up for the day was to clean my room and better arrange my stuff. It looks like a big blunder when I actually look into my room from the outside. So I began to clean my room, to keep all my things in place, to put all my clothes in my closet, and to dust the rest.

This really helps, trust me, as you are not only organizing your place, but you are actually organizing your mind and you will start appreciating yourself when you see the results.

These days, while working on the interior of my room, I have found a few little items that, you are actually awakening your aesthetic sense while arranging and decorating your room, which makes you even more imaginative than before.

Not only does cleaning clean your place, but it also cleans your mind and provides you with better clarity for your personal goals.

I had a long, refreshing bath after my cleaning session that actually made me feel like I was having a digital detox. The post that I slept like a baby.

Now I thought I might get myself some cooking to awaken my aesthetic a little more. After a hectic week, it was an absolute joy to cook something for yourself.

I have a deep feeling that whatever becomes your routine for a while, in order to avoid giving it up, it literally needs a break! I hope you guys will be able to relate to it.

By reading my current favorite book named “IKIGAI”, which means the reason for living, I ended the day.

I would like to note a little thing over here that give your device and social media a little break. It will really give you a fresh start and joy to get over it again. And after you’re back from the detox self-session, you’ll really love to see a bulk of notifications coming on to your screen. Uh, believe me!
